Huawei Band 3 Pro Review: Nowadays, everyone is either watching fitness bands or smartwatches around their wrists. This is what technology has done to us. We want to track everything- from sleep tracking to calories burnt. So, the Huawei Band 3 Pro is a cheap fitness tracker with an OLED screen, big battery life, and good features. With the new Huawei Band 3 Pro, you get a stylish, well-featured, and low priced device, this device has set the bar up for its rivals like Fitbit Inspire HR. How does it perform if compared to its rival Fitbit Inspire device? Is it a worthy purchase? Let’s check it out in the Huawei Band 3 Pro review:
Design and Display
Huawei Band 3 Pro got a premium design- especially the gold-colored one. This looks really expensive but it isn’t and looks way better than its rival Fitbit Inspire HR. Most of the $100 fitness bands come with plastic plus silicone build but this one got an aluminum brushed on the top. The glass covers the screen rather than some cheap plastic. It looks little chunky when it comes to the looks especially with respect to Fitbit Inspire and Honor Band 4. Also, the band it comes with is not as comfortable as Fitbit Inspire ones. The silicon trap of Fitbit is quite a fit and doesn’t feel itchy during sweaty workouts. Moreover, it is water-resistant piece to 5ATM which is something best you will find in fitness trackers coming at this price point. So, you can take ten laps of the swimming pool and still it will work without giving any issues.
Coming to the display, the Huawei Band 3 Pro packs a 0.95-inch AMOLED screen with 120 x 240-pixel resolution. Huawei Band 3 Pro is a 0.95-inch 120 x 240 AMOLED screen. The screen specifications are the same as the Honor Band 4. The colors come out bright and vivid, it is a fantastic display with great pixel density too.
The Huawei Band 3 Pro is a great fitness band. You just have to flick up and down on the screen to navigate and there is also a capacitive button below. So, the interface is really great. The device tracks your lifestyle well with fitness tracking. You can get all the stats- from daily steps, heart rate functionality, sleeping stats to work out details. The products get a dual-LED heart rate sensor and GPS. So, you can out with your smartphone and map your route. The heart rate sensor is not as great as you might have expected but the software updates might fix that. You can keep track on your outdoor running, walking, cycling and swimming activities from the Workout section. The device has eradicated the breathing mode which was in its predecessor, the Huawei Band 2 Pro.
The Huawei Band 3 Pro gets some cool features to give it a more sporty and sturdy feel. With the new notification feature, this device just becomes fantastic. But, those notification features are little clumsy- works slow. So, you can read your WhatsApp notifications while jogging in the park. While reading messages on the fitness band was not a good experience too- while reading them, they would disappear in between.
You can also set alarms and timers in this Band 3 Pro. Other features you get are the basic weather reports in the watch face and a Find My Phone feature which alerts your mobile. The new TruSleep feature is something that adds more value to this product- it basically advances the sleep tracking.
Coming to the battery life, the Huawei Band 3 Pro gets a 100mAh battery which can last up to 14 days. It is far better than Fitbit Inspire HR which used to give 4-5 days of battery life. Using it for 2-3 hours of GPS tracking and daily notifications usage, it can give you 7-8 days easily. The device charges on a little plastic clip-on dock which works pretty well and is not that fast. You can check some of the great opportunities available under Animation Jobs in various sectors.
The Huawei Band 3 Pro is a great product that uses the old school Huawei strategy of building products. This product comes with a great set of features at an affordable price- rather less price. Yes, it comes with some internal software issues- but they might get resolved after the software updates. The device comes with Heart rate tracking, notification support, and other new chunky features. The device is not the most comfortable in the price range but the design really looks fantastic with a little bit of fancy metallic touch to the watch. The tracking is really good with a stunning battery life. So, if you want a solid fitness tracker with new features and staggering battery life, then Huawei Band 3 Pro is a considerable option for you.
