Insta360 Go 2 released recently, the predecessor of Insta360 Go & it’s a very comfortable vlogging/action camera at an affordable price. It’s tiny, cute, unbelievably handy, & hi-tech. It has so many authentic additions that make it a complete action camera for your daily adventures.
Insta360 Go Specs & Features
The Insta360 Go 2 is a tiny action camera that comes inside a cute little white case. The case & the camera can be attached to accessories magnetically. Insta360 Go 2 comes with a white pendant that you can wear around your neck & attach the camera while walking, diving, biking, etc. Its size is definitely the most authentic part of this camera. Being the tiniest camera, it is very comfortable for vlogging.
The camera box contains a bunch of accessories too. The first Insta360 Go’s case was only for charging and plugging into an iPhone. But this second-generation one is a completely different deal. It has buttons that are very sensitive, a mini mode screen, it flips open to become a holder for the camera. The case has charging facility which claims to fully charge the battery three times. A fully charged battery can offer as long as 30 minutes runtime with basic stabilization ON & 10 minutes less with Pro Mode ON. This case is used to remote control the device as well as a tripod for the action camera. It even has built-in legs, turning it into a tripod & which is a very cool feature of this camera.
Battery & Charging Feature
The greater advantage is that it comes in a pill-shaped design, which allows the Insta360 Go 2 to be used in places where a traditional action camera may feel bulky. The new Insta360 has a bigger sensor than its previous ones & is capable of recording videos in 2K resolution@50fps. It takes HDR videos at the same resolution at 24fps. You get two types of video stabilization- basic image stabilization & FlowState stabilization that is activated in the Pro Video mode.
Being an action camera one of the key features is that it is water-resistant & can be used till up to 13ft underwater. The Insta360 Go 2 has 32GB of internal storage & capable of pairing with an iPhone or Android smartphone via Bluetooth 5. In this case, the smartphone works as a viewfinder for the camera.
One drawback that I need to mention is the absence of a proper preview screen. There is only a small space in the case where you can see the settings of the video such as image ratio, resolution, battery, etc.
Secondly, although it provides different modes of video shooting still it lacks in image quality a little. The colors are not that good quality I feel. So it can be used for vlogging & adventures for its size but it is not an idle option if you are looking for quality filmmaking.
The new Insta360 Go 2 has launched in US & Canada at $299. It is still not available in the Indian market yet.
