After a long wait Sony Alpha 1 is launching in India. It is the most advanced & innovative camera in the Sony family. They offers a 50.1 megapixel full-frame Exmor RS image sensor in the lens. It is capable of shooting 8K footage at 30fps & 4K at 120fps. Sony α1 offers an OLED quad-XGA electronic viewfinder and has advanced Real-time Eye AF that is said to perform 30% better than its predecessor models. Additionally it uses an AI-based real-time focus tracking to main focus in moving subjets.

Sony α1, The latest of Sony mirrorless camera offers a 50.1 megapixel 35mm full-frame stacked CMOS sensor. It uses BIONZ XR engine, popular in Sony, for high level image processing. It has a 1.6cm electronic viewfinder & 2.95 inch touch TFT display. The Alpha 1 from Sony performs 30fps continuous shooting with AF/AE tracking and hybrid auto-focus technology which is very fast. Being a full-frame camera it can record 8K footage to its highest at 30fps & 4K videos at 120fps, beneficial in professional world.
Its ISO range is 100 to 32,000 max allowing max detail photo quality at low-light/night without flash and with it long exposure noise reduction as well. And for stabilization, the mirrorless has image sensor-shift mechanism.
The resolution of Sony Alpha-1 is 8640×5760 pixels at 49.7 megapixel with 3:2 aspect ratio. There are 2 slots in the camera that support SD card, SDHC card and CF express Type A card. The connectivity options of this camera include Bluetooth 5.0, Micro-USB port, dual band WI-Fi, a LAN terminal & finally a 3.5mm mic jack. It has inbuilt microphone & speaker. There’s also an USB Type-C port which support fast super speed USB 3.2 data transfer & power delivery.

BATTERY- The battery offered by Sony in α1 can last for max 430 shots with viewfinder & 530 shots with LCD display. It has capability to support continuous video recording for approx. 145 minutes using the viewfinder & with the LCD screen, for 150 minutes.

PRICE- Finally what we all have been waiting for, the price. There’s no official information yet about its price. It might be around ₹ 4.73 lakh in India market ($ 6,498 in US) . It will hopefully start shipping from 4th March, 2021.
