Keyboards are a necessary thing in today’s time as we spend most of our time on our computers. Having a good keyboard enhances the user experience and improves the prodcuctivity overall. Sometimes good keyboards are also necessary for playing games especially on a competitive level. Those are popularly known as gaming keyboards and come with a hefty price tag, and having colour options other than black will just act like cherry on top but for the price tag. Redragon K617 is a nice gaming keyboard which can literally change the gaming scene with its price and the quality it offers. It will give you the extra edge to win the games which you may have lost otherwise without a gaming keyboard and saves your wallet from getting thin. So let’s know what the redragon K617 has to offer.
Redragon K617 Fizz RGB
The Redragon K617 is a 60% keyboard. It instantly creates more mouse space on your desk the moment you replace your old keyboard with it. There are many keys which are missing but all the necessary keys are present in this keyboard and typers and gamers will not get affected by the missing kerys. Only the print screen key is not present which bothered me a little but which you can then get by setting macros so it’s not a very big deal.
The keycaps of the keyboard are very good, they don’t wobble and the space bar has almost no rattling. The sound of the key presses are amazing and all the keys are of standard size making it perfect of typers. A change in the key sizes will affect the typers as they have to then look down and look for the keys. This is a white keyboard which is just amazing to see at such a price tag because generally we don’t get to see such a good keyboard at this price tag and also wiith white colour option. Although it is not an entirely white keyboard, it is a mix of white and grey, you get to see a little bit grey on the top middle and then you you will see grey keys on both the sides. The combination looks absolutely sensational in my opinion.
This is a mechanical keyboard and for the switches you get to see red switches from redragon only. The switches are similar to outemu switches but I personally found them better comparing to the red switches. It may not be the case with you as taste differs from person to person but I personally felt very good using the redragon red switches.
You get to see a L shaped cable in the box which is because it routes the cable from the left side which is a very good thing to see and it is a type c detachable cable so even if your cable breaks down from some point you can change it and use another cable. The best part of it though is the detachable cable feature, carrying this keyboard is very easy with a detachable wire.
The RGB on this keyboard is amazing. It looks absolutely sensational, the brightness of the lights, the RGB effects, the glow from the keys, everything is top notch. There are plenty of RGB effects to choose from so you will never get bored. This is a per-key RGB keyboard so you can set multiple colours to multiple keys at the same time.
For easy access to all the functions and RGB settings redragon has made a software which you can install on your windows PC. You can control all the functions from the keyboard only but you need to refer to the manual then but for those who don’t wanna go through the boring stuff, redragon got you covered.
