Realme has recently confirmed the great news of launching a 5G smartphone under Rs 7000. It is estimated to be an entry-level phone with 5G support, depending on the budget. Realme is the first company to have taken such a decision.

Realme CEO, Madhav Sheth has confirmed that there is a plan to launch a 5G phone for less than or approximately Rs 7,000 in India later this year. No updates on the model or specifications are out yet. This smartphone is in the planning stages now. Sheth to India Today stated that Realme aims to be a 5G leader in India with the belief that everyone deserves to have a 5G device.

Since Realme has become a promising brand in India, one can expect to rely on the quality at this price. The upcoming smartphone can have MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, as it is an entry-level 5G chip MediaTek makes hence, fits the budget. It could be waiting for MediaTek to produce a more cost-effective 5G chipset. Even Qualcomm has its cheapest chip, the Snapdragon 480G p that supports 5G networks & is widely preferred in the smartphone industry.

There has been a leak recently that revealed a Realme Y6 in the pipeline. Chances are that this could be it. If this plan of Realme gets successful then we will get the most affordable 5G smartphone that is specially made for the Indian market.
